compact pistol

realistic hard-surface prop

The Micro Morita is the compact offshoot of the venerable Morita line. It trades bulk for precision: a 6+1 .45 compact, old-school in its fundamentals but manufactured with modern composites and a reinforced slide that keeps its profile tight and its recoil predictable.

  • Under 9,000 triangles
  • High quality topology
  • UV mapped with mirroring
  • 4K roughness / metalness workflow

This piece was a focused exercise in hitting modern AAA weapon standards without the scope of a full hero asset: compact, readable, and technically disciplined. Tight constraints shaped the workflow — efficient poly use, deliberate texture sizing, and no detail that didn’t earn its place.

It became a refinement pass on my baking pipeline: clean, artifact-free normals, curvature and AO that support stylised realism, and UV scaling based on functional importance. Internal components were intentionally down-res’d, while focal elements like the sights received higher texel density and geometry for close-up or cinematic framing.

Buck

stylized character

This classic cowboy character was inspired by Fistful of Frags, which I did some models for way back when.

  • About 65,000 triangles
  • High quality topology
  • Fully polygonal; no normal maps

This piece was an exercise in building a hero‑tier stylised character. The goal was clarity and adaptability: a model that reads instantly in gameplay, supports head and outfit swapping, and sets a repeatable pattern for future FaFFM characters. His outfit is seperate from his body and head, making it easy to swap out for alternate versions.

The craft focus was on polygonal expression. Embroidered shirt yokes, denim creases, and boot contours are all modelled in, giving Buck a tactile, sculpted feel that stays consistent across lighting conditions.

Buck’s proportions and palette do the faction coding work. His baby‑blue shirt, gold accents, and spotless white hat mark him as the Vigilantes’ “good guy,” while his symmetrical holsters and polished boots reinforce his role as the heroic gunslinger. The result is a character who feels instantly legible — a visual anchor for the Vigilantes and a template for the rest of the roster.
